Trawling through the Internet as one does, I came across your website with much interest. In the 50’s and early 60’s, I was a Radio Officer and had the pleasure of signing on between 1956 and 1960 , the London Endurance, the London Glory, the London Valour and the London Pride. I have my Discharge Book in front of me and the various Masters’ signatures bring their faces to mind. I remember particularly the Valour where I spent 11 months aboard compared to now where I believe crew members are flown home after 3 months! That is all a long time ago now and I wonder how many of my fellow officers from that time in Loftanks are still around ?
